Public Alert: Scam Emails About Phony Court ... - United States Courts
The federal judiciary has learned of an email scam, in which emails purporting to come from federal and state courts are infecting recipients with computer viruses. According to the Security Operations Center of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, the emails are instructing recipients to report to a hearing on a specified day and time.

Orlando – Some area residents have received fake court emails notifying them of a pending court case. The emails are crafted to look as though they are sent via the Florida Courts E-filing portal and purport to contain attached court documents. The court urges recipients of these and similar emails to proceed with extreme caution.

The Judiciary has learned the email alerts recipients about an upcoming court case; however, the email is a scam, and opening any attachment or clicking on any link in the message triggers a malicious program that infects the recipient’s computer. The email is not from the courts nor is it about a court case.

An email scam has resurfaced as the Hawaii State Judiciary has received a report of an email purporting to come from a court employee. The email is summoning an individual to court. The email also instructs the recipient to click on attached documents or a zip file to get more information on an alleged notice to appear in court.
